Effect of Dose and Time of Nitrogen Application on Growth and Yield of Sesamum (Sesamum indicum L.) Under Irrigated Conditions

The experiment was conducted during rabi season from November to January months of 2020–21 in the farm Agricultural Research Station, Utukur, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India study growth and yield performance sesame under different levels times nitrogen application. treatments included four viz., 40, 60, 80 100 kg ha-1 application timings as 50:50 basal 30 DAS, 25:75 25:37.5:37.5 basal, 20 40 DAS 0:50:50 which were laid out split plot design with main plots time sub three replications. test variety YLM-66 mixed sand 1:3 proportion sown at a spacing 30×10 cm2. Taller plants recorded N on par 60 number branches per plant not influenced significantly by nitrogen. capsules plant-1, seeds capsule-1 seed higher indicating this an optimum fertilizer contrast present recommended dose ha-1and regarding application, splits, Kg splits ratio 25-37.5-37.5 days after sowing is for getting sesamum.
